Mistakes to avoid with your sadaqah during the month of Ramadan
Waiting until you have “enough” to give
Sadaqah is not reserved for the wealthy. The Prophet ﷺ said that even half a date given as sadaqah protects from the Fire. Do not make your generosity conditional on an imaginary financial threshold — give what you can, when you can.
Giving a sadaqah without a clear intention
The intention gives the act its value. Before ordering your sacrifice, take a moment to formulate inwardly for whom and why you are offering it. That moment of sincere niyyah turns an action into worship.
Putting it off to next year
Ramadan comes back every year — but nothing guarantees that we will be here to live it. The Prophet ﷺ sought to do good with an urgency we often struggle to feel. If the desire to offer a sadaqah is there, do not let it slip away.

Yes. This page exists all year round for exactly that reason. You can order your sadaqah sacrifice at any time — specifying in your order that you would like it carried out during Ramadan, or ordering it now to be served as a priority from the very first days of the sacred month.
The date of Ramadan changes every year according to the Hijri calendar. As an indication, Ramadan 2027 is expected to begin around Monday 8 February 2027, subject to the sighting of the moon. Best practice is to order your sadaqah a few weeks before the month begins, so you can be sure your sacrifice is carried out in the first days.
Absolutely. There is no limit. Some of our contributors offer one sacrifice per week throughout the month, or one sacrifice for each member of their family. Each order results in its own personalized video.
No. These are two distinct acts. Zakat al-fitr is an obligation that must be paid before the Eid al-Fitr prayer. Sadaqah is voluntary and can be given in addition, with no connection to zakat al-fitr. Fulfilling one does not exempt you from the other.
